The Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter was charted in San Antonio, Texas on February 27, 1939. The chartering members are Lucille Inman Boyd, Helen Minter Bradley, Sadie Faine, Mabel Booker Lowry, and Violet Nelson Inman.
The members of Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter engaged in many worthwhile projects. The first major project was the Anniversary Calendar. The first Finer Womanhood Program gave honor to women for outstanding contributions to the local San Antonio community.
Alpha Pi Zeta Chapter has organized and hosted cotillions, Miss Blue Revue Scholarship Programs, Stork Nests, track meets that are official Fiesta events, scholarship balls, youth luncheons, and supported a myriad of community service events. The Chapter continues to promote Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and be an active voice in the San Antonio Area community.
